Vtech's last a pretty good length of time. Mine seems to "crackle" if I walk far from the base, even with the antenna all the way up. But it's all good, I mean damn, it's better than a cell phone.

i dont really understand what you were trying to write there.

but if you mean ls/vtec yea. oh yea check your spelling for vtec, not "vtech" which is a telephone company.

but you can have vtec on a b18b if you take the head off that block and add a vtech head such as b16's and b18's. they add good hp and torque numbers. but if you dont know what you are doing then make sure their is a shop that does.

but this job does not come by cheap.

hope this info helps.

Try a search on "LS-VTEC" and "LS/VTEC" and "LSVTEC." Search recent topics and archives, in this forum, the Tech forum, and the Hybrid forum. There is a ton of information around here on building LS-VTEC engines.

To put it bluntly, you can't just bolt a VTEC head to the non-VTEC block, and expect it to last more than 30,000 miles or so; the engine geometry of the B18A/B isn't well suited for a high-revving VTEC engine. I highly recommend having the engine's bottom end built up beforehand.

Good site for LS-VTEC information: http://www.oretek.co.za/honda%...c.htm

By the way, it's VTEC, not v-tech. It's an acronym, not a "tech."

You ******* tool, you actually spelled it v-tech. You don't deserve to drive a Honda.

You have alot to learn. Try the spell check also next time. I'm assuming you were referring to a LS/Vtec. Use the "SEARCH" it helps of preventing from getting flamed.
