My baby is leaking oil! :(
After the ignition and intake install, I took the car around the block to test it out. Motor seemed to be running strong. I pulled back into where we were working on it. I was greeted by my friend shouting "Dude! Your leaking Oil!"
Great.
I am positive this was not impact related, I did not run over or hit anything. The first thing I checked was the oil pan, which seemed to be flawless. It was getting dark so we decided to wait until yesterday to get a better look. UNfortunatley, that never happened...my friend got arrested and is now currently in jail
Before he.."left" my friend told me that he was pretty sure it was either the crankcase seal or the oil sending unit.
Basically my question is...what is involved in fixing either of these problems? I am mechanically inclined but I do not think this is something I can tackle myself, my helms is still in the mail. What would be a fair price to charge for either of these problems? Do you think this is an accurate diagnostic of the problem?
I can provide more information if need be, thanks for your help guys! =]
