Quiet mufflers....
I searched, so dont flame...
After hours of searching I figure I want an ES as my quiet exhaust, call, search, look everywhere and I cant find one. So, I need your help.
I need a stock sounding exhaust that will flow enough for a SC'd GSR. I currently have an N1 and the noise is driving me crazy. Please reccomend something that is quiet and I can find....

The concensus seems to be Magnaflow, according to acuraholic, SMSP is using these also, not Dynomax. Are any Magnaflows going to be quiet, for should I look for a particular design, and I oval would be quieter.

These are 28 inches long...
MY entire N1 muffler is 21 inches, but there is room behind it of just piping until the control arm, or sway bar.
Would a 24 inch long one work? That would leave me with 18 inches of muffler, 6 of a tip, and some extra in the back. Part number 12246, sound ok?

I'm curious to hear how the Magnaflow ES sounds. I, too want a quiet exhaust that's well built (ie SS inner core, etc.)
The Apex'i WS and the other JDM exhausts out there get a big
from me for poor build quality on the internals.

If you use a long/large enough muffler that can fit under your car then yes they will be quiet. Why else would SMSP use it? BTW, Dave has a new design out using 2 custom built resonators and 1 rear muffler. Pics of it can be find by searching.
tegunderpressure what size exhaust are you looking to get? 2.5"? 3"?

I have an ITR catback on my car and the sound is only slightly higher than the stock LS system. The ITR muffler is really quiet and stock looking, but it flows less than most aftermarket models.
