my jdm front end came and the hood that came, got damaged through shipping.heres some pics of the hood

I wanted to get a carbon fiber hood i tried to do a search but nothing came up. i wanted to know whats a good brand that i can trust.
is VIS a good brand?
and does Fiber IMages make JDM ITR Carbon Fiber Hoods?

 

You should be able to fix those. You were going to get the front end painted too to match your car, right? They should be able to take care of the damage.

 

VIS is a good show hood. Great for the price.

 

i took it to the body shop and they said it useless cause it bent to other end were the metal bars go across the hood

I have a hood and I am in the bay area if you want to check it out. It is still on my car.

 

I have an JDM OEM hood that is in perfect shape, although shipping would probably be expensive. If you are interested let me know and make me an offer.

Paint damage in the corner and a dent on the hood that is over the skeleton of the hood.

 

styles from hasport is selling cf hood used, i think like 300

 

does this always happen when they ship it ?
can you ask the shipping compnay to pay for it ?

 

My JDM hood also have a dent over the skeleton, but people on H-T are telling me the body shop can pop it "somehow" or use filler to bondo it. I have no idea how valid are those methods since I didn't talk with any body shop yet, but i certainly hope they can fix it...

 

they should be able to fix it. Like you said either pop it out or use body filler.

 

get one from jdmhondaparts.com i got my hood there (us style headlights) but it.s great quality.

 

I have a couple of Spare JDM Hoods, Fiber glass or Carbon Fiber- Both Brand new.
The Carbon Fiber one is a GTP Mugen style. The Fiber glass one is our own OEM replica. I have an original steel one but I think it has a couplke of small dings.

they only do pick ups with the hood and i live in sacramento thats a drive for me

 

I've notice over at http://www.torontointegras.com they have a CF hood group buy going on.

The freight company should inburst you for the damage. If they don't I can offer you a VIS carbon fiber hood for $325 plus shipping.
