Can you beat this harness from G-Force for what you get for the price?
This is the cheapest I have found for a 5-point cam lock, and G-Force is a respectable name in racing in my mind.

Come on guys, I know that just about everyone that frequents this forum has harnesses in their cars.
I just want to know if their is a cheaper 5 point cam lock out there that is still SFI certified and that you would/have used on the road course.
Thanks,
JP

I run Simpson harnesses myself,, but that is a damn good price for a cam lock harness. Are you using the harness for wheel 2 wheel racing, or just HPDE, etc...
If you are going "real" racing, my shitty advice would be to step up to something better such as Simpson. They got the new platinum color too so you can bez flossin wile u race, y().

Thanks,
JP

The only first hand experience I have with G-Force is that I got one of their 5-point camlock harnesses several years ago and it had "TRW Sabelt - Made in Italy" stamped on the back of the cam. That meant it was pretty high quality stuff IMHO and it held up very well until I sold the car (with that 2+ year old harness still installed and showing no significant signs of wear.)
I've also had good luck with the Autopower stuff from the legendary Ken Myers at http://www.ioportracing.com , who wouldn't sell anything unless he knew it was good quality IMHO. $150 + s/h for a 5-point camlock, $90 + s/h for the L&L IIRC... I have one of each in the Miata with no complaints so far - they seem to be high quality as far as I can tell.
The Simpson stuff... no opinion, other than it's what separated on Dale Earnhardt (due to improper installation and/or normal wear-and-tear, right???)
Lots of higher level racecars run Willans or Sabelt/Sparco camlock harnesses. You can find these for under $200 all over the internet.
Long story short as long as it meets the rating requirements and has a recent stamp date, I'm sure any harness would be ok for HPDE (with proper rollover protection, of course.) For $120 that one looks decent as long as it has the certification and a fresh stamp date on the tag. Especially if it is a re-badged Sabelt, which mine was.
IMHO hope it helps-

Just an FYI, the G Force camlock belts do not have Sabelt camlocks on them anymore. G Force tooled up and is making their own now. Overall the G Force belt is great bang for the buck.
If you don't have a rollbar in your car, use your factory seat belts for HPDE's and get a Schroth Rallye 3 or 4 belt for autocrossing. IMHO, a camlock belt is a pain for autocross since you have to get in and out of it so many times...the camlock is easier to use than less expensive latch and link belts, but no where near as simple to use as the Schroth push button.

Thanks for the informative post Jon, and I'm guessing that you are the owner of that website Brett?
I'm looking to go with a 5-point camlock because I'm looking to do more HPDE days in the future and less autocross. I have a kirk 4 point roll bar, and I'm ordering Sparco Evo's here soon, so a 5 point would be a good addition to the car for lapping days.
Thanks again for the reply's, I may just have to give the G-Force a try.

Another SImpson user here. I'll stick with the proven WW-II latch setup in a 5-point. Price is higher than some other brands, but the quality is first rate. I will note that both Crow and M&R have products that are as good. You can buy Simpson from a number of sources, but I go directly to the store in Concord, NC and shop there. Check with whoever else, including Summit, for pricing and delivery. I will agree that for short events without a rollbar-the stock belts or the Scroth is a much better approach.
