did a search and didn't find what i was looking for.

my sunroof looks like total **** and i just want to get rid of it all together now, i know you can get a factory replacement for like $200 but is there any kind of aftermarket fiberglass or even carbon fiber panel made that you can put in there to just eliminate the sunroof?

i dont know that i will actually do this, i'll more than likely just get the replacement sunroof but if anyone know of any aftermarket replacement for it i'd appreicate some help.

They have a fiberglass insert for our sunroof. It rivets into place.

 

damn i knew that it just kinda slipped my mind.

anyone installed it or seen it installed?

 

you can also make one if you dont want the rivets i know there was a guy on the board that him and his dad/uncle made one and welded it into place and smoothed it out and painted, now it looks like his car came without a sunroof

 

has anyone bought a new one from majestic honda and just installed a new one? if so, does the new sunroof come with new seals and all that? or what does it come with? how hard was it to install?

 

i think there's a glass one u can buy 2, unless i'm trippin but i thought i seen someone post somethin about it on here, don't know where to get 1 though.

No, it comes with nothing besides what you order with it. You can order the panel by itself and re-use your old stuff, or buy new seals, or whatever you need. The panel by itself is like $170.

This is something totally different from JC Whitney, it's the wrong dimensions for the CRX Si.

It was designed for use in cars without a stock sunroof.

Someone else on here, g-rex I think, that just used a piece of lexan and screwed it to a lip that he made and then screwed that to the lip that's around the inside of the sunroof opening.
I really liked it and if my sunroof was rusty I do it in a second. I might do it anyway to save wieght.
