Default 15X7 4X100 Rota - on the water!

Steve @ Auto Innovations got confirmation today that the wheels made the container. In other words, they are being shipped over right now. We are hoping that the shipment arrives & clears customs within 3 weeks.

I didn't read much about the new rim, so what style is it? I may want to buy a set this fall.

Here is the recap.

15X7 Slipstreams with 4X100 pattern & 40mm offset. Weight to be posted after actual wheels are weighed on the AI scale which we know is accurate. AI has the exclusive rights to the first shipment. The wheels in this order are all hubcentric. @ this point in time, the ones to follow might not be. Steve @ Autoinnovations.com (email addy) has a reserved list for those who are interested. When the wheels arrive, he will go down the list. You say, "Yes, I want them". You send the $$s. They ship out within 48 hours UPS (weekdays). You say, "I don't want them anymore", he moves on to the next person. Contact Steve for pricing & availbility of the wheels. IIRC they are priced @ $115 each. Colors are silver, flat black, dark grey (gunmetal).

well, good job.

If I didn't already have a set of cheap 15x7 flat black wheels, I'd be in.

Sorry for not keeping track of this, but, is there also a shipment of 15x7 with 5x114.3 bolt patterns? If so, i'm in for atleast one set...

Not yet. It (5X114.3) most likely will happen in the not too distant future.

Ross, I hear you. There were a few delays. The crappy one, to me, was the paperwork error that made them miss the last container & delay them the extra month.

Another tidbit of info. Disclaimer - not weighed by AI yet. Some info from
Rota, which is most likely accurate.
The 15X7 weighs approx. .44lbs more than the 6.5". This should keep the wheel just under 13 lbs.

edit: fixed the decimal place

Very tempting. Very. Too bad I want to stay in stock class for Solo2 and don't want to roll on 15s unlowered.

I probably missed this aswell, but are there any plans or ideas being thrown around for multiple styles in the 15x7 hubcentric?

Sorry. Bad placement of the decimal. The correct number of additional weight is approximately .2 kg or .44 lbs. Edited the post above to correct the error.

Yes, there will be 15 X 7 wheels. My sponsors, Auto Innovations, started working on this before Sept. of last year. Auto Innovations will have the exclusive on the first shipment, which should arrive approx. June 10th. The wheels will be Slipstreams in 15 X 7 with a 40mm offset. The wheels will have a hubcentric hub bore for Honda/Acura cars. There is also a limited number of Miata bores. Weight looks to be just under 13 lbs. Actual weight will be listed once they arrive & we get them on our scale.

....not up to me. I don't believe that would be something that normally would happen. If there were special circumstances & 1) you bought the set from AI & 2) they were brand new, never mounted in the boxes, you might have a chance.

Doh! And I just picked up a set of 15x6.5/56.1 for my car. Now I have 2 sets, just had some billet hub rings made for the 67mm bore set. If they're under 13lbs, it's still a good deal. Can't stress enough the importance of using hubcentric wheels either.

I got updated from Steve @ AI. The wheels are still on schedule. AI should be able to ship them out the end of next week or the beginning of the following. Firm info on weight will be posted approx. the end of next week. For those who have contacted AI, you should be recieving a email soon.
