Speed World Challenge from Mosport *56k = death*
So I dragged my *** out to watch the Speed World Challenge @ Mosport Raceway Saturday May 17th.
What a spectacle to see. The cars are wonderful, the crews are very cool and answer all your question regarding mechanics, and the action was hot.
These cars need to be seen and heard in person to be appreciated. They are much faster, and way louder than tv portrays them to be.
Everytime they made their way to turn 2 over the knoll my bodies goosebumps multiplied. It was exciting tight racing, and a great race was driven by RTR RSX piloted by Kleinubing and the Turner BWM.
While Cunningham blew his clutch the yellow flag was thrown but than the green flew again for the last 3 laps.
Kleinubing holding off the Turner
Old man Endicott. Well driven race, impressive for a first year car. Finished 10th. This car is pretty trick up close.
Peter's new G-Ride. Sad to see the ITR leave his hands. He DNF'd with a blown clutch. Nissan
Turner again. Loving the BMW's.
Yet another Bimmer!
The American Wheels (i think thats the sponsor
) BMW's were excellent and souded by far the best cars on the race track. The green and black one ended in the top ten I believe. 43 car field.
Subaru facing the wrong way during practice in thre rain on Friday :D
Secksi Audi In rain
The old ITR brothers both in New SKINS!
Last pic of my favourite car. Turner/H&R BMW
After this wekend I can say that BMW looks very strong. Might be the cars. Might be the drivers. Either way, I think if I were to build a track car a 3 series I-6 may be the way to go. Remarkable machines, and I kind of have a thing for them
There are more sets of pictures over on (dare I say it)

I didn't bother to stay for the GT qualifying. I did see the practice however and the cars were very fun to watch
Kudos to my friend DB for the pictures
Great event

out of curiousity, are you aware that of your 3 pics of Will Turner's car, only 1 is actually Turner. The other pics are Auberlin and Seldorf.

Yes Matt. Team Turner/H&R. Not Turner's car himself. I enjoy all of their cars.

Suweet pics...
I was actually standing at Turn Two on Saturday as well.
Must be seen to be fully experienced.
Three things stood out that day:
The racing was cool. I think the Subarus need some help in the chassis setup side though.
Everyone in the paddock was extremely helpful. I couldn't believe the information they let go if you asked right. The to-do list for my car grew A LOT.
Finally, and definitely the most memorable, the sound of the Trans Am cars at about 10:00 at the end of the back straight coming down from speed. Holay mother of pearl...I grinned like a fool for hours...

Nice pics. It is deffinately better in person. I went to last years race at Laguna Seca and at the start there was a car off track at each of the first three turns! It also helps that we got in for free. Some guy that worked there gave us a ride in on a golf cart.
