I'm putting together a B18B w\ Y1 Cable and Hasport Kit.
Which Starter and Alterator do I use?
I Have a OEM Flywheel from the B18B and a Clutchnet Stage 2 Clutch from the 90-93 Teg. Also, I have in my possession:
Old Alternator from D15B (Might Fit if I Drill Hole Out)
Starter from D15B (Which Totally Wont FIt)
I'm going to be using the B18B Wiring Harness.
I just purchased a Starter and Alternator from a B18A 93 Spec. Will this take care of my need?
Thanks,
Suprdave

Superdave,
I have a B18B in my 89 CRX and am running the J1 cable tranny. The correct starter is the 90-91 Integra (not sure if 92+ will work, I believe those
were hydraulic trannies. As for the alternator, I believe you can use ANY 90+ Teg alternator -- but I can't confirm this from personal experience.
As for rebuilds, if you're curious -- the J1 and S1 can use the same parts for rebuild as the Y1. I ordered the rebuild kit from a place in Dallas called
"Standard Transmission and Gear." Price was about $200 for all new bearings and synchros and seals.
Good luck!

the Y! needs 90-93 starter the 94 and up are hydro trannies. The correct alternator is any civic/integra alternator., 90 and up
