Does anyone know the part numbers for the synchros needed for the JDM S1 tranny? i mainly need the 3rd-4th gear synchro. Also, which year LS fifth gear (part #'s would help for this one also) can i swap into the tranny, and do i need both the main shaft and counter shaft gears? Any help is appreciated. THANKS

i am talking about a b series cable tranny, i didn't think you can use b series parts in a d series tranny. I did a search, but i can't find the archived post on the cable b-series tranny re-build.

I have already seen that thread, I want to know the actual part numbers so i can pick them up myself at the dealer. thanks though
You cant buy the JDM tranny parts in the US. That is why those tranny's is always a gamble and hard to find parts for.
You would have to find a dealer in Japan or Australia (or somewhere else that offered the S1 tranny) to place the order for the gear set.
Good luck, and if you find something let me know about it.

I actually heard otherwise, because my friend did a rebuild on his tranny here in the US and bought parts at the US dealer, he just lost the part #'s. But that link above, the guy will send the parts for 350 shipped, and that a COMPLETE rebuild, not just the 3rd and 4th synchro kit, for example. I am probably just going to get the set from him, due to the hassle of buying, and 'hoping' the parts will work.
prolly best idea, the LS 90/91 parts will NOT work, so do not try unless you want to waste the money...i actually got lucky and got a ys1 tranny in pristine for 500.
some have said and there is NO documentation that the d16a6 3rd gear and synchro will work (90/91 si/ex) i would not try that either

It has been done and I have been in the search of an old d-series tranny for a while now to salvage the synchros out of to fix an S1 I have sitting here.

If that is the case, I can just use my old tranny's synchros (d series) to put in my S1. . .how positive are you?

I know a few people that have done it so far with their trannys and I am going to do it as soon as I can find a d-series tranny for the parts.
