Default Apex-i WS

I have been trying to find an exhaust for a 1998 civic lx sedan for a long time, and I finally found one. It called the Apex-i WS. Any opinions on this exhaust? Most exhausts that i have found are for ex/si and coupes. I can get it for $400 plus shipping. Should I save up an get the apex-n1 or greddy for 500+?

I already search... almost all the topics that came up was about the Apex-1 N1.

Ok here is the run down. It depends on how loud you want it. The N1 is much much louder. Personally I loved having the WS. It made very little noise and had a clean sound to it. Personally I think what you get depends on your goals. If you just want to add something nice and get a couple hps then your more than good with the ws. However, If you plan on doing any MAJOR mods such as blower or turbo then go with something bigger (I went with custom 3" when I went to 9psi off of JRSC). Goodluck.

It all depends on what you want.
My friend has an APEX'i World Sport(WS) Catback Exhaust for his '96 Integra GSR Sedan. It sounds very nice. It sounds almost stock when he's driving normally, but when he floors it and goes to redline, it leaves a deep roaring note.
My other friend has the APEX'i N1 Catback exhaust for his '98 Integra GSR Hatchback. It is ALWAYS loud. IMO, it sounds nice as hell, but if you don't like that it's loud as hell, you won't like the N1. Some think it's too loud and makes it too easy to get pulled over.
But, it all depends on what you want. If you want performance and a lot of sound, go with N1. If you want a decent exhaust with not that much sound and decent performance, go with the WS.
Also, try out some other manufacturers as well.
like:
-5zigen
-HKS
-Tanabe
-Magnaflow
-GReddy
And also, I'm not sure how an exhaust would sound on your D-Series Civic engine. It definetely doesn't sound like my friends' Integra GSR's.
But, good luck with your choices.

Where did you find an Apexi WS that fits a sedan? I contacted Apexi and they stated they have no complete systems that will fit a sedan. I would like to know if someone claims they do, and see why!

Installed mine over 3 weeks ago and I love it. It's a little restricting compared to my old Tanabe Racing Medallion but I was willing to sacrifice a little HP for quietness.
Here is my install pics and review:

Have you thought about the Mugen Twin Loop? Thats what I have on my sedan and I love it. Its quiet, but you can tell its not stock, and when you get the rev's up, it screams!! I have a clip I can email you, let me know.

I got it from http://www.inlinefour.com, its a bit pricey though. Its not a cat-back, cuz the cat on my DX is on the manifold. Its an axle back, I plan on doing a custom exhaust with 2 1/4" piping from the cat to the mugen axle back, getting rid of the resonator.

I contacted the sale person at alternativemotoring.com He told me he could get any exhaust. I told him that I have a 1998 civic lx sedan. He then told me that he can get it for me for around $400.

anybody ever did business with alternativemotoring.com?

Easy man. I have the Mugen twinloop on my EG, and when I had a cat and stock piping it sounded great, very quiet. Now I have no cat and GSR piping. The loss of the cat has really made it loud as ****. And now, I think it has lost all resonance. It's really sounding worse and worse as the days go by.

Although many companies state the same exhaust will fit a sedan and a coupe, Apex'i told me NO! I am curious of alternative motoring is just mistaken, or if they know that it will fit a sedan.

I'm not planning on removing the cat, just the resonator. Cat will remain in place at the exhaust manifold.

I got a response from Alternative Motoring today. They told me their supplier stated the World Sport from Apexi would git a 4-door. They informed me that upon contacting Apexi, they know it does not fit the 4-door. Thats too bad!

I am checking out a system by Bosal Performance from Nopi. Seems to be a decent system, and they state it does fit a 4-door. Check it out Bosalperformace.com

I checked inlinefour.com, they have a Mugen Twin Loop for the 96-98 4dr, which is where I got mine. The have some universal mufflers that you can make fit, but that's it. I'm sure there is more somewhere, but I don't have all day to look. Damn work!!!

I just got my Apex-i WS and I put it on yesterday... I love it, one of the best sounding exhaust systems... no doubt about that....
