You can't host pics from your hard drive. You have to upload them somewhere. Try http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com

SiR-G also has the "b18c" stamp, itr intake manifold can be swapped in fairly easy (as well as a red valve cover), SiR-G tranny also has LSD.
look for a pr-3 stamp on the head, look for a green paint bloch near the back of the distributor, look for a JDM 4-2-1 or 4-1 header depending on year, if you want to take off the head, look for the p73-00 stamp.
all this can be swapped out/in as well, but this is just more things to look for.

From what I can see, it has the right intake manifold and the right engine code. The gsr in the states said B18C1 and the itr said B18c5 while in japan the ITR said B18C if I remember right. However your tranny does not seem to be a ITR tranny. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that the ITR tranny's were S80/Y80
I understand and know ur not tryin to be a dick but i just got this car 2 days ago from New York and just wanted to check with you guys...........thanks

in japan, their GSR (SiR-G) also says "b18c" on it. read my previous post.

if it were a jdm valve cover, it should say
dohc
VTEC
however, like i mentioned above, that part can also be swapped out for a USDM one with ease.

Actually, it does. He still has the stock pistons.
Look at the head, behind the distributor. There should be a little part that has green paint on it. Hopefully, the previous owner didn't remove it.

IM looks to be right. Engine code is right. I'd say it is, unless it is a skunk2 IM on a P72 head. What is the head stamp...PR3 or P72?
The reason he is using the YS1 is because the CRX is cable operated, whereas our ITR's are hydraulic. I used my gsr's YS1 back when I had my B18C-R in my '92 gsr. The gearing is almost identical to the USDM ITR, and 96-spec JDM ITR. The '98 spec JDM ITR would be shorter.

Type R motors also have the chrome gromets for the valve cover which this motor does. Hard to tell from the pics. Check for the green paint on the back side of the head near the distributor. There is a good chance it is an ITR motor. There is a slight chance it is not.
