my swap is in ..b16a into 91 civic si..but im having problems.. it wont start.. i have spark,compression& fuel..and i know for a fact its a good motor..

here are my questions..

1) what is the firing order ?.. i changed the cap & rotor..i think i might have the sparkplug wires on wrong ?

2) is there a way to test a distributer.. like i said i have spark.. but could the distributer be sparking at the wrong time ?

what is the correct gap on the ngks ? .045 ???

please help !!!

any ideas would be great and HIGHLY appreciated !

it wants to start.. starts to starts.. backfires and thats it.. the cycle starts over..

we notice that the timing is one tooth off.. now i could understand there could be reaction to this but it should at least start !!!!
