New brakes....are they faded? Did i mess them up?
I just installed new brembo blanks and axxiss ultimates. I am doing the brake in process. I am tryin to heat up and cool the rotors slowy like it said, today is day 3 of my driving easy on them
Yesterday I noticed some black like smudge marks on my rotors. More on the back then front, is this fade? this good?
Today at day 3, i went a lil harder like it said, and did some 60-10mph stops, then cooled them on the highway. Well, now they squeak! what the hell..i heard this goes away tho after they are broken in. but as for the black marks...that normal? i looked at my friends car, (intnegra ) his were alot more messy and "faded" then mine.......arhg

Who are you taking advice from on breaking in your new pads?
In order to break in some pads, you really have to beat the snot out of them almost. This process doesn't take place over the course of a few days, but rather 40 minutes or so, and then letting them sit over night to cool down all the way.
You should:
1) Stop from 55 mph down to 15 mph with moderate pedal pressure (5-6 times).
2) Drive around for 15 minutes using as little of the brakes as possible.
3) Stop from 55 mph down to 15 mph using heavy pedal pressure (5-6 times).
4) Drive home using as little of the brakes as possible, and then park it to cool overnight, and then your new brake pads are bedded in and ready to go.
You should not be getting smudging on your rotors no matter what pads you are using. And I don't think that ultimates should be squeeling that much at all. You should definitely bed in your pads again properly, and possibly check for installation error.
Good Luck,
JP

installation error..nope, did them my self, actaully..put them in twice, the antisqeal oozed out the first time, so i wiped off excess.
I was worried about the rotors, cause they are new..i didnt want to get them too hot :/ was going according to baers site.

I wasn't doubting your installation skills, just checking all possibilities for the things that are happening with your brakes.
That's really all I can say in my last post without being able to look at your brakes.
Good Luck with them,
JP
