Default Turbo H23 in a 4th gen?

I want to build a turbo motor for my 4th gen accord, yet I am not sure if I should start with the h23 or h22. since the h23 has lower compression and higher displacement, I have been told this would be ideal for turbo. It seems spending 2 grand on a jdm h22a is a bit unnecessary, especially since I'll be replacing everything with forged internals. I'm most likely going r3/t4 w/fmic. I am also curious which tranny would have the gear ratios most beneficial for this setup. My guess would be to get a jdm h22 tranny since I can get it with lsd, but I would install quaife lsd in another tranny if it has better ratios.

This topic has been discussed for ages, I don't remember which side won, but I would be happy with either motors.

obviously, if your gonna do a complete rebuild go for the H23. that $$$ you save can goto better quality turbo parts.
