Default tranny, clutch or drive axle?

ok i have another problem. I got my car finally running fine with the new clutch, flywheel, final drive after a serious tranny problem. I broke in my cm stg 3 past 1000km (apprx 600 miles). I have brand new tires. I step on it a few times and it feels amazing. I go out to a dead country road and decide to try a launch. I rev the car up to about 4500 and drop it. I get crazy wheel hop and I feel something give out and the car just start coasting and still running while in gear. I pull over and i can shift threw all the gears easy with out touching the clutch WHILE THE CAR IS RUNING. I imidiately thought it was another tranny or clutch problem since I just had one and got it towed away to a dealer to sit for the long weekend since I was on vacation. However after the car was towed away i was thinking i should have checked my drive axles. Because the tranny DOES shift gears, i put it in reverse and gave it gas and i heard the reverse noise as i gave it gas (obviously not moving) so the trany shifts fine, clutch pedal feels the same. I go no where but i did not hear any noise what so ever coming from the axles. I am a discrace to this car.

It could be a axle or half shaft.
Most of the time once it breaks it wont move at all. if you've ever gone to a drag strip, and seen someone break one of the two at the line. Then you'll see that the car will jump off the line but just come to a coast if it breaks.

Im sure others can give you a little info too.

The way you describe how your gearbox works, but the car doesn't move, it sounds like your driveshaft. If you're looking for a new driveshaft set and want something better than oem (which seems to have broken on your car), IM Budman. He has a set of aftermarket driveshafts that he hasn't installed on his car yet that he may be willing to part with.

The only thing that made me think it WAS NOT a drive shaft is how I could go threw all the gears with out touching the clutch with the car runing. If it was a drive shaft would you still have to push in the clutch to shift?

ok so this does not sound like a clutch, tranny problem?
I do have one rebuilt axle on my passenger side. I know it didnt just pop out because i pushed my car off the road and steering was perfect (no noise). I am thinking i broke the remanufactured axle since it is a bit weaker then oem and I had brand spaking new tires with the extra torquyness from the 4.929 fd.

Just want to confirm that this does not sound like a clutch/ tranny problem?
