please help, AEM rubbed a hole into my AC line and its leaking.
my AC stopped blowing cold last week so i just recharged it, afterwards i heard a very faint sound that sounded like air leaking, i traced it to somewhere by the IM, but couldnt find where, then i leaned on my AEM and heard it louder and sure enough it had rubbed a hole into the line. now i have refrigerant leaking. what do i do! i know this stuff is terrible for the atmosphere so i want to stop it. is there any way to fix it or do i have to replace the line? thanks
p.s. sorry about the doulbe post i want some quick answers.

By the time your able to get it to a recovery station you already lost all the pressure in the line. Don;t worry about the environment. There's nothing you can do. Please plant and tree and mother earth will forgive you.
Get a new AC line there. You can replace just the broken section. Also readjust the fit of your AEM. If you do it right it will never touch anything in the car like AC lines, tranny mounts, or overflow bottle.

R134 isn't nearly as bad for the environment as freon. For $12 you can buy a kit at any car parts store that will seal up very small leaks in your a/c system. I'd try that before you replace the line.
aluminum tape over the hole
or you could hot patch it with some epoxy/jbweld/etc.

ok, well thats good to know that its not as bad as freon. i just tried to patch it with some duct tape, no luck its too much pressure. its right on the bend so you cant get a nice neat patch on it. so i guess i'll let it all leak out and recharge it after i fix the pipe. thanks
