Default ECU problem!

ok im driving a ls/vtec that has a ls ecu and vtec is hooked to a RPM activation switch that kicks VTEC @4800, my roomate had a 1996(same year as my car) GSR ecu laying around so i pluged it in to see if this would give me more power, well i gave a it test spin and when i would try to rev it, it would give me a revlimiter of 6400 rpm's, how would i get this ecu towork for my car and give me power until 8000 rpm?

Wow- heh. Well Im not positive, but i don't think that the GSR ecu would even be benefitial. But i would imagine you would have to trick the ecu by we-wiring alot of the sensors. Just like the LS/VTEC "frankenstein"<--(old skool name), you would have to francenstein the ecu. I would imagine youd have to have one of the ecu's running the vtec head and the other LS ecu be running the bottom end and all the rest of the neccesities- but youd still have to run the 02's to the gs-r ecu i woud imagine. Now this is totally a made up idea- so dont go hacking away at em' its just a theory
