Default newbie suspension help!!!

This isn't how I wanted to start off my first post but oh well. My friends and I installed JIC FLT-A2 coilovers on my '01 gsr and now there's some weird rubbing or grinding noise (metal on metal) coming out of the front passenger side. At first we thought something was still loose but we double checked all the bolts and everything was on tight. The noise happens whenever I go over a bump, no matter how big or small. If the road is completely smooth then the noise stops. We dropped it about 1.5" in the front and the shocks are on the softest setting. Has anyone else had this problem? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

I had the same problem...turns out it was too low....check your tires make sure that it isnt chewing them up... Where your inner and outer fenders meet there is a seem and that was chewing up my tires and leaving little rubber strips there to jsut flap around.

Nice suspension choice. Check that side. Make sure the brake line is tied up and not in the way.

It doesn't look like the tire is rubbing. It makes sort of a clanking noise. We checked the brake line and we zip tied it to the fork looking thing. I don't know what it could be.
Thanks for the replies.

maybe something was installed upside down or in the wrong direction. its worth taking it apart to investigate and reinstall.

Might save you money in the long run by doing so.

Peace
