5th GEN HELP: Squeeky noise...
I remember reading an old post that it's coming from the camber kit but I can't find it now. Do I need to regrease it and if so with what or is this an indication that I need new struts? Thanks.
It would probably help out quite a bit if you explain where this noise is coming from and what kind of noise it is. If it is coming from the wheels like when you go over a bump or something, then its likely a suspension problem. "squeaky" noise could be anything from a belt to suspension. Define better what your problem is and you might get more helpful replies.
I'm running Eibach Sportline springs with the stock struts and a Ingalls camber kit up front. I didn't have any problems for the first year and now the front end squeeks from the wheelwell when I go over speed bumps. It sounds like a creaky noise. I remember the camber kit had originally included a little tube of grease and would like to know if this might be the problem. Since over time the grease might have worn out, causing the bushings to squeek/creak or if my stock struts have finally given up. I tried pushing down on the front end and the struts are still stiff and they dont' seem to be leaking so I'm perplexed. Thanks.
I'll definitely try that first but haven't had time to work on the car. I was hoping to find someone who had a similiar problem in case it isn't an easy fix. Thanks.
