Default Tire width?

hi, whats the biggest tire width that the type-s can have without rubbing the well on bumps and stuff? in MM...

What's the application? Are you going for bling or for performance?

i have 225-50-16 toyo t1s with no rubbing at all. they are 100 times better than stock and i have a 1 1/2 drop. i've heard of guys going with235 but i think u would have to roll the fenders riceroni style if u want that.

I would stick with stock size. 225/50 is just too wide and the tire will cone in. looks like crap.

mine look 100x better but that's just my opinion. they don't cone in either. much beefier and excellent cornering.

what the, no type S guys here? 225/45/17 are fine. the max would be 235 w/o doing any body work i believe.

edit: to the thread starter, 225/50/16 on stock rims are fine too. it will be good for you to start off auto x. if you are into road racing later you might wanna change to 235/40/17 at front , 215/45/17 rear

235 look great, have you seen it. i have 225/45 at front , 215/45 at rear, this is a good setup, you guys should try.
