tossing up between the 2 mufflers, can someone tell me how much louder the Apexi N1 is than the Fireball....... ive heard the N1 but havent heard the Fireball. help help!!

I'm rowin the same boat as you. I'm lookin to finish my I/H/E and need at least a 2.5 or 60mm catback with as little of a bottlneck as possible. The N-1 gets rave reviesw from some and the 5Zigen gets more Rave reviews from others. But, I've heard that the sound of the 5Zigen is really nice and quieter than the N-1!

If I'm wrong please correct me. And help me with letting me know if the 5Zigen is a 2.5 or 60mm catback and unobstructed?

Don't either. The noise will bring cops and headaches. A full body muffler does the trick or the Twin Loop. I had a Zigen...drove me nuts.

What would you suggest with the E part with the thought of going NA and doing internals like a valve train upgrade and some agressive cams like the Toda B's?

Ok Ok Ok I agree with the cop thing and the noise too. I like the look of the twin loop but, the price is BIG!!! Ah well You get what you pay for I guess...

N1 All the way.. That's what I have, and it sounds great! There is a deeper tone to it.. And besides, I don't get why everyone freaks about cops, do you plan on hitting VTEC in front of one?

I gotta say I'm impressed with the N1 when the silencer is in. I still get power from it and it's sorta quiet.

 

Cops! I have dealt with this so many times it is tearing me apart. I think we should all right congress demanding action on this situation. When I bought it it said 50 STATE LEGAL and now they are ticketing me

 

I like the fireball a lot more than the APEXi N1. The APEXi N1 sometimes got weird farting like sound in lower rpm range. But I didn't see any fireball got that problem, no matter it's on a SiR, GSR or TypeR.

 

I have the fireball. At regular cruising, the noise is not loud enough to attract any extra attention from cops. It isnt obnoxious sounding at all, and when you stomp on it, it wakes up nicely. Nice tone, not "tinny", and I personally like the way it looks as well....doesnt look like a scud missile launcher.

just my 1 1/2 pennies.

 

if i was you i would get the Apex'i World Sport cat back...you keep the performance and no one will ever know you have exhaust unless they see it and you wont be getting pulled over for noise....besides exhaust does not matter that much. Headers and hiflow cat/test pipe is what you would have to worry about.
