I'm looking to buy these for the 4th gen lude. Black housing. I was wondering has anyone bought them and recommend a place or site that sells at a good price with quick response.

Ebay is pretty much the best source. Or you can find a company that imports used JDM lights. If you don't want used, then expect to pay as much as $600 for new ones.

yea i'd say eBay too, just installed mine two days ago, if you want new ones they're around 630 or 40, which is way too much IMO

 

yeah i got it from a local motorsports brand new for $660 with install. But you can get em brand new from http://www.import-store.com for $555

I got mines straight from a prelude in a japanese junk yard for 375 total with the bulbs and plugs. Ebay has them, but you gotta beware, some might be messed up or something. Post a reply if you cant find some for a better deal i can probably get some.

I might be mistaken here...but couldn't you just remove the lens and paint the housing gunmetal on your stock ones...a friend of mine did it on his civic si..and it looks great, and it would save you a ton of money..here is the link to his site on doing it-it's in the how to section in the side bar http://members.tripod.com/brokenlimitsorg/

you arent mistaken..but a little ignorant to the housing of usdm lights. there is barely any surface area without functional reflective surface to paint on. i planned to do this one afternoon, and after all the work of removing the bumper, lights etc..found no place to paint that wouldnt impede the reflective housing.

 

Would you give me some tips on removing my usdm headlight lens. the idiot pre-owner tried to install hyper white bulbs after touching them bare and they exploded. there is shattered glass all over the inside. what would be my first steps to this? I want to clean the back of the lenses because one of mines is really dirty so one looks foggy then the other. any tips?

 

i got the chrome housing. i absolutely love them...got them a year or so ago on ebay for 345. perfect condition...but beware a friend of mine bought some too and one was totally screwed up. pieces broken off and like a plastic film or something peel;ing off. it was strange. just make sure they would replace them if something is wrong.

 

i got mine through ebay (from a salvage yard about 3 hours away) for $225 shipped with bulbs, harnesses, and bulb pullers for the corners all in perfect shape
