Default I know it's all been said before but,,, "Mugen CAI!"

I know it's all been said before but, IS there NO way to weasel that CAI into position even with the AC intact? Does it actually disrupt the AC unit or just the lines? And if just the lines is it possible to fit it past em? Or does it actually rub against some extremely important parts?

It looks so F*ckin sweet and the build quality seems to be of highest caliber as per the Pics on the King motorsports site.

What kind of gains are available with it as opposed to the stock setup? AEM? Icebox? ACR? Injen?

Thanks, It just seems according to the pics that it might fit, but, alas thwarted again away from the Mugen stuff. I guess it woulden't huh?

A.

PS answers form those who have it or dealers or mechanics or techs who've actually seen it in person or installed one would be most appreciated. Speculation and Flamng are not constructive! Give the facts as from one who knows or NOT at ALL!!!

I have the Mugen CAI.

A/C? No way Jose. It's very tight without A/C lines. The thing has a big *** bore below the filter element.

I wrapped the lower portion of mine with heat resistant tape and it just barely fits now.

Or what about the Euro/JDM spec intake?

Why exactly is it designed differently? Does it fit in somehow around something that we don't have BESIDES the JDM/Euro front end?

It looks different and uses a different filter element, Why?

Thanks again, and of course the same rules apply to this post too. Thanks for the knowledge...

Call or email King motorsports.

The mounting brackets for the JDM car are different, so is the housing.

The USDM spec one is a modified S2000 filter

Thanks for the information guys, and from people who have it too!

Oh and Ross did you follow the guidlines? Are you a tech, or do you have it or have you seen it or installed it? If so why the lack of constructive contribution? If not then why did you post an answer? AND I already have the Comptech full "ICEBOX"! I was interested in information from those who have the Mugen piece. But, thanks for you help "was it help you gave" anyway.

Thanks guys, and Ross too

oops - I forgot you already had the Shitbox. I was just trying to save you money, man! (*sniff*). I apologize for my overexuberant post and hope you will not hold it against me given that we have talked at some length about meeting up, etc etc. I pride myself on not pissing people off but this is the 2nd time today I have put my foot in my mouth - Big Phat R was witness to the other one I think. Anyway I am sorry
