depends on which cams you get. i would get some ctr cams for like 500-600 and then use the rest for cam gears or valvetrain

Would I be able to install a sway bar and coils myself? Would I need new shocks/struts or whatever if I got coilovers?

These can be had pretty cheap, $100 - 200. But you need some extra parts to allow it to fit your car. I think it is "BSQ" on this board who can get you set up with the whole thing. In a nut shell, a sway bar will make your car more stiff which in general helps your overall handling. Do search on the web, you can find a plethora of info on suspension and theory.

I agree, then save up and get yourself a LIGHTWEIGHT flywheel. set a goal for yourself and it'll make things much more clear, and you'll know what you want

I looked into the swaybar, but I cant seem to get a hold of BSQ. How hard is the swaybar to install?

Scratch that...his website is back up. Anyhoo, so once I get the swaybar and mounting kit and install it, what is something else I could do to? I will still have $600 left....I was thinking maybe a rear strut bar, but I dont know if it would really be worth it?

get anythgn that will make the ride feel alot better.. like shocks strut bars tie bars sway bars bushings just my opinion.. i always have this one rule.. suspension over motor..meaning... never fix up the motor to overwhelm what the suspension can handle...plus you will greatly respect a comffy ride

suspension does not add HP, looks are last in a speed racers mind.
