quick question: rear brake calipers????
hey guys...i'm changing the rear brake pads of a friends GSR, and i can't seem to get the rear caliper to swing up...i took the bottom bolt off and the heat shield....i even loosened the top bolt to the caliper...what am i missing? or is it just rusted upp????? thanx

I had the same question when doing mine. Take off both bolts and it comes off totally, it doesn't swing up like the front one does. The haynes manual doesn't say this if thats what you're using for reference.
I forget if G3's are the same, but if you have ABS, the wires will still be connected to the caliper. Don't support the calipers by the ABS wires (ie don't hang it with the wires). Bend a coat hanger around the trailing arm (or spring) and suspend the caliper (don't put weight on the wires). It's quite a PITA if they snap.
