hairline crack on rims?
I was washing my rims and I noticed this on my front passenger side rim:
There are two of them on two different spokes:
Different view of same thing:
Here's the second one:
Seems to be on about the same place on both spokes and they both go to the end/edge of the spoke. What do u guys think?
Also, special prize for whoever can guess what kind of rims these are.

Stock 98-01 GSR wheels?
Can you feel the crack with your finger? I would call the manufacturer of the wheels and explain the problem. If its Acura, go to the dealership or call HQ.

How far over warranty?
I would go back and say you just noticed these cracks, and that cant be normal. Its dangerous, as if the spoke seperates from the hub, thats definitely no good. Depending on the dealer, they should warranty that.

I would definitely get that checked out - keep in mind that if you hit a pothole with that much force to crack the rim, chances are hitting another pothole with the same force will crack that rim in half while you're driving.

UPDATE: took it to discount tire to see what they thought and i noticed another crack on the underside of one of the spokes (you couldnt see it the way the wheel was sitting when i took the pics above.) so thats 2 cracks on 1 spoke and then the adjacent spoke has a crack.
and the guy verified as i thought that they are indeed cracks. he even refused to rotate the rim to the back of the car for me (fearing liability? i dunno).
gsr "blades" suck

warranty?? i thought this would be regarded as a safety issue... regardless of warranty concerns by the dealer.
maybe notify honda or acura??
if you have craxks in yours, then it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that other owners may have the same issues... OEM wheels really shouldn't be cracking like that. this is what i expect to happen on cheapo indonesian aftermarket rims after 10 years of use... not OEM honda parts after 5 years of use.
deffinately contact honda/acura if you haven't already...

Take it to the dealer and see what they can do. If your wheels have no curb damage, they have not right to not warrant a claim. If you have a warranty.
You could look into something like Wheel Wizzard or Wheel Doctor. They fix wheels for about $115 a wheel. Wheel Wizzard fixed both of my friends SSR Comps and TE37s to BRAND new status (excluding weight). The wheel didn't weigh that much more than the originals though.
Also :cough cough: ebay :cough: lol
