got busy with my teg this last week (with lots o pics)
ok so i took some well deserved time off this last week to get a whole bunch of projects finnished up on the teg
i was havin problems gettin reverse to engage so i had to pull the tranny anyway so while i was at it i did the following
1: fixed my z-10 radius rods. the ends of the rods were soooo coroded i couldnt adjust them at all and i just stripped out the part on the bar that your supposed to hold with the wrench so anyway 1 torch 2 pairs of visegrips 2 15/16th wrenches later i finally got em out. NOTE TO ALL Z-10 USERS, GREASE IT UP OR IT WILL GET NASTY
heres the typical ownage picture complete with middle finger
2 installed moroso oil catch can. i had it setup to breath into the atmosphere and it was nast, no more oil smell for me!!!

3: filled in rear mount passenger stabilizer and tranny mouts with 3M window weld.. nasty stuff but the mounts came out real firm and seems to have really made a difference... idle is a little bit rougher but the car feels great!

4: added cold air extension to my DIY 3" intake.. no complete pics yet but heres the extension pipes so you can see the color. i painted them with black 1200 degree ceramic header paint, baked it to cure them then 500 degree "wroght iron grey"
5: changed oil
6: tranny fluid too duh
7: performed a valve adjustment
8: installed ACT chromoly FW (prolite 8lbs) that i got for a great deal from viren (really cheap!) personally i think its to pretty to hide but it works better in the car..
driving reviews are this thing revs fast... really seems to rip through the gears now!
9: re-did alot of exsisting grounds and added new ones to the head intake mani and such
well thats all the stuff i can think of so ill just post some general pics of this last week
S80 itr tranny about to go back in

yeah my KAAZ seems a little noisier too with the solid mounts..... o well
ill have more pics later too of the intake
o BTW that breather filter on the valve cover has a pcv valve on it so it will only draw air in... the vacuum from the intake mafold pulls air through the ford pcv valve on the catch can then through the hollowed out pcv valve on the valve cover. havent checked for any amount of oil buildup cause the car hasnt been going for that long yet

only bad note so far is that my tranny doesnt seem to be shifting smooth at all. before all 1-5 gears shifted real smooth just reverse didnt engage all the way (cause im a retard and messed up last time i took the cover off). im guessing that its the mobil 1 synthetic tranny fluid im using. normally i use 2 bottles of valvoline synthetic blend 75-90 gear lube and trans-x differential additive for the LSD. if it doesnt smooth itself out im dumpin the fluid and goin back to the old stuff..
anyway
heres a shot of the visible part of the intake... i anchored it right infront of the overflow bottle so theres no movement of the pipes... clamps are kinda long but other than that
... sounds real nice!

i would have been done quicker if it werent for the fact that it was raining half the time here and i had to wait a few days to get the flywheel.
oh yeah i did it all without a clutch alignment tool also... hehe

hey i have a 94 integra ls with a itr tranny in it also. it doesn't feel smooth at all like my stock ls tranny.. it is kind of rough / knotchy while shifting gears, it doesn't gring though so i don't think it is the syncros. I AM USING HONDA GENUINE TRANNY FLUID WHAT I GOT FROM THE DEALERSHIP. IS THERE SOMETHING BETTER THEN THIS FLUID AND IS THIS WHAT WILL SOLVE MY PROBLEMS OR ARE THESE TRANNY'S JUST LIKE THIS.

You may have bad synchros or needs new clutch, check and/or bleed your clutch line. You can try using Redline MTF or GM Synchromesh. My $.02

i used 3" piping and the only ones that i know of that are 3" are type R injen and the type r AEM and i didnt want to drop the cash on one of those. now i have a b20 and plan on upping the cr and prolly a vtec head so i could use the 3". if you have a stock gsr or ls then you might want to do what they say and get the ebay intake (2.5") cause it will match to your engine better.
cost of the filter was 20 bux and the piping was maye 30-40 or so i dont remember exactly. if you can buy a cheap ebay one and not have to cut all those pipes yourself its worh it.

Great job ... I love seeing DIY stuff on here.
How hard was it pulling the tranny to put in the flywheel? Do you have to have an engine hoist (cherry picker) to lower the tranny after you disconnect it ... or can you do it by hand?

little driving review as i finally got to get a good drive in tonight the car feels awsome. its exactly what i wanted, b20 plus R tranny plus lsd plus z-10's plus solid mounts equals a car that really pulls like a **** around turns.
did my first completely clean burn out today. was never able to do it clean with the azenis and just the z-10's. the solid mount helped ALOT.
i also forgot how solid and well behave the car feels with z-10's. i am a huge fan of them for this reason. i seriously am so confident wippin the car around now
intake sounds louder than my short ram... did a 2nd gear downshift and scared the hell outa the wife under an underpass... it was loud!
flywheel has made the driving experienve much more fun. downshifts are alot easier and the car revs so much easier. its hard to tell about acceleration cause the car was down for a week and i did a few other things besides the fw but overall opinion is
. deff NOT too light...
now i just need to give the car some nuts.... its still slow after all the work ive done to it but i havent touched then engine at all other than bolt ons.. (no exhaust either) i have the 8.8 cr model so i really cant wait to up the compression and either through in a big non vtec cam or do a basic b20 vtec with R cams.... we will see what the future will hold!
BTW my setup now is 98 teg GS with the following
OEM full body kit
neuspeed valved konis
400 front 350 rear groundcontrols
neuspeed rear upper strut bar
neuspeed front upper strut bar
neuspeed rear lower tie bar
205-50 azenis on stock rims
skunk2 sway bar
skunk2 camber kit
z-10 radius rods
b20b engine
skunk2 intake manifold
DIY cold air 3"
99 USDM ITR tranny
JDM final drive
kaaz LSD
ACT clutch
ACT prolite flywheel
b&m FPR
moroso oil catch can
filled in engien mounts with 3M window weld
11lb sealed lead acid battery to replace stock (30 lb)
i think thats it...

where are your grounding spots ?...i see you got one on your dis. with i do too but i heard that you lose power instead of gaining power?

Thx for info. Is it really heavy?

NOTE i edited the above post to add my setup
i dont have the distributo grounded, its grounded to the head. i have the tranny, head, intake manifold grounded and i re-did the ground on the battery

i can lift it with 1 hand from the starter hole but its pretty awkward. i pulled it off the engine down one a bunch of rags/towels and slid it out from under the car. to install i just put it on a small crafstman jack and raised it up. ive done it before so it want that bad but it might be challenging if you dont know what to expect.
