Default Going price for installing CV driveshafts

I need both shafts replaced and need to now what the cost would be to install them

i saw an ad in the paper yesterday for 140 per side.

BUT...you should do it yourself. i did it with a friend and it worked out fine. replacing both axles was the first auto repair i've ever done.

I did mine myself. It takes about 20 min per side. Alot of places around were I live do it for about 30 per side.

How long does it take to do both sides with air tools. I may try it next weekend by myself.

don't need to drain the tranny if you jack up both sides at the same height

yeah, i just did mines with a friend and it was pretty easy..the inner part of the axle just snaps off with a crowbar..the outer part you need a certain tool to take off the hub part...then bang the 2 bolts you need to remove around a bit it should come right off...
