A lot of these questions can be answered using the search. However, I'll do my best to get you on your way. A gasket is independant in itself. You do not need to have any aftermarket equipment to change the head gasket. However, horsepower gains are not evident by head gasket alone, it merely raises the compression a few tenths of a point. It will be more useful if you include the items you listed before.

The mugen one is probably one of the best and is the type I run. Toda makes one of the best off the shelf exhaust manifolds and is awesome for nearly any NA setup. However, when you look towards more power in the future, a custom header like SMSP might be what you are looking for.

Cheers

yeah, the SMSP header is custom made, and thus can have long lead times...Dave at SMSP took almost a month just to respond to an email.

Look into the new comptech long tube race headers, they're pretty sweet and about the same price...plus they'll get to your door in five business days...

Later,
Aj
