Do I need to take these out?????
Im doing my spring/strut install on my 93 civic coupe and I am stuck. I cant get my lower control arm bolts out, which is weird since I just had some springs put on about a month ago. Anways on bseries.net they show the spring/strut install on the rear going down without taking out the lca bolts. Is this possible??????
it is possible, but it makes things a little more complicated.

Yeh you gona do this and then you gona ask how to do the front ones too. It all takes practice and figuring out the right and easy way and with out braking anything.
on the rears I only take out the bottom shock bolt and the upper mounting bolts.
Then you either have to compress the shock a bit or just push down on the LCA, or a combo of both

Just push down on the rear LCA. I don't think it's possible to compress the shock by hand unless you are above it and put your weight on it.

I hate compressors, but it's that or get that bolt out.IMO if you think it is out of your scope, then have them done at a shop.No shame, get it done RIGHT.
