Default h22 swap

if you swap into an h22 into an SI, you have to have an ecu, but do you also need the transmission?

yo're gonna need a tranny in any car. i really dont understand your question, if you're asking if you need the tranny from that exact h22, then the answer is no. most or all h series tranny's shouold bolt up the the h series motor

when at wot (with the h22 tranny) and shifting at redline. you can keep the rpms above 5000 rpms keeping vtec engaged. hes saying the si tranny won't stay above 5k, which will disengage vtec. ( i'm assuming this is what he meant)

just to be sure....you guys are saying that a B-series Si trans. will bolt up and work with an H-series block? I've never heard of this and just wanted to be sure of what I am hearing. Quite interesting.

I was really starting to wonder about that. I knew there was no way to bolt a b-series to an H-series and this post was making no sense to me at all. For some odd reason I wasn't making the Prelude SI connection. Sorry, been around too many damn civic swaps lately.
