Default my new 96+ oem front lip, and how you can get one too! (socal)

a fellow h-t'er turned me onto this deal - i just picked up mine today. it is technically a usdm lip, but i'm told there is no real difference between it and jdm. who really cares, it's $89 with hardware.

more pics here: http://www.villagephotos.com/p...69680

see this thread for more details on how to get one of you're in the LA area: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=494036

Yeah, no real difference between the two because they're--ahem--the same same thing. Lip looks good, though! what motor is that under there? I see a red valve cover.

thanks daniel, i wasn't sure they were the same same. feel bad for the fellas paying for the jdm one one.

the foglights are another mystery - i have yet to get a definitive answer as to whether or not they are factory. mine are knockoffs that i got from ebay like 3 years ago - they're not genuine honda - but they came with a wiring harness that plugs right into factory, complete with knockoff factory switch. they are becoming harder to find, which sucks, b/c one is slightly cracked. some say jdm, some say no - ask daniel.

The square foglights were optional equipment for the 96-98 civic 4-dr. models. The coupes had round foglights. I'm not sure if you can buy them new from honda anymore, but I see them on ebay every once in awhile.

i'm still confused about that optional chin spoiler. i think its the same as the SiR, but the OEM lip i have was factory color matched from honda, and is part of the oem body kit. and the CTR lip you see most people with looks pretty close to the OEM lip i have.

also i never knew that the OEM coupe fogs were round, i always thought they were the square looking ones... now i gotta find the oem coupe fogs for my car

the round fogs are easier to come by - don't know if you can get them from honda, but a few websites carry them and apc makes knockoffs.

I think there's a brand called Hondasport (which is so so old) that makes that lip too, but only stronger...Like it matters...

Hondasport is still around? I used to see their stickers all over Sac back in the day, but then they sort of disappeared. I figured they went out of business.
