Those of you using Comptech Ice Box, Input needed please
So I've had my Icebox on for a year now, and one thing I've noticed that gets really irritating, is that about every couple of weeks I'll get under the car and notice that the elbow piece that connects to the main box always seems to come undone, I've tightened the hell out of the clamp around the bracket many times, but it never seems to stay in place. Has anyone else run into this problem? Anyone know a good way to keep that bastard on? I was thinking of maybe just taking that elbow piece off, it sucks checking it every two weeks to find out I have to reclamp it and wait for it to come undone once again.

Or Duct tape huh? Doesnt Duct Tape fix everything and anything?

Yes I had this problem too when the Icebox was on my car. When you tighten it a lot, it just seems to deform the plastic and the elbow thingy comes off sooner. LESS IS MORE. Just snug it down and it won't go anywhere. And you can add tape for peace of mind.
i have had my icebox for over 2 years now and the only time that the elbow come off was at an autocross. i just didnt crank the clamp down enough.
it also depends if you used that brace that it came with...if you are clamping the elbow to that brace like the instructions read...then i can see where you might have some problems. just dont use the brace, if you are.
if your not then i would just suggest using duct tape and tape the elbow on and then clamp it down...that should hold during an atomic bomb blast.

maybe the clamp provided with the box just don't hold well, get a clamp from home depot, - turn it tight as possible - never had a problem with elbow getting loose, but i lost original clamp when it wasn't tight enough.
i said this before, threres no need to use clamp to secure the elbow over the other pipe. Just fit the elbow over the bracket and the other pipe, you have to get it over bracket first at an angle, then fit it over the other pipe. - this will allow for quicker removal when dealing with rain.

Hmm...time to check that thingy down there.
But I won't be surprised either that the inlet hole is full of dirt and dead leaf like every other month.

Are you wrapping the clamp around the metal bracket provided that bolts onto your tow hook? I've never had any issues with it when installed correctly, that thing is super tight and it's survived much road course abuse.
