6th gen accord cd player?
That would be with the stock radio player. I do not know if it can be fixed, other than putting in an aftermarket radio.
If I were picking up a new head unit today, I would go with the Alpine CDA-9807 (MSRP = $280), which would also let you play MP3s.

In my '99 Accord, I still have the stock cassette player, with an Alpine CD changer mounted in the trunk. I have no problem with CD-Rs.

Try burning a cd on a computer you usually don't burn them on and see if it works. I had the same problem in a '01 TL when I burn cd's on my computer. As soon as I changed computers, everything started working fine. Another thing that usually works is if you burn the cd on a home-burner, the one's you connect to your home audio systems. They use different cd's that you burn on (cd-r audio) instead of a regualr cd-r. Those cd-r audio cd's work in most cases where the regular computer cd-r's don't but they do cost more.
