Seat Bracket/Slider help...
Already searched and talked to many....
Recently sold my Recaro's b/c the top of the seat was to wide therefore touching the upper left portion of my RollBar, I could not recline the seat the extra 5 inches that cross bar would allow.
I have purchased 2 Sparco Evo 2's since, b/c they fit me like a glove. I am 6'3 210lbs. Problem that I am running into is that the seat with the Sparco "car specific" brackets and sliders sits WAY to High for me.(Helmet touching the headliner) I tried not using the Slider but still to high.
I do not want to drill more holes in my floor board! Therefore mounting the seat like George Knighton an many others is not an option right now. Does anyone know of a company that makes super low brackets/sliders? Has anyone had positive good luck with using the Mugen Bracket/Slider with a Evo2? I do not want to spend $300.00 A SIDE for Mugen's and they not work with my seat, or still sit to high! Any Info or someone that makes custom brackets would be a great help!
That is a Mugen Bracket/Slider mated with a reg Sparco Bucket. Anyone done that with Evo2's?
Thanks in Advance!

Whoa, Pro2000s bolt up with Mugen slider/brackets? I should get those someday, I sit way too high w/ my Sparco crap, as well. Helmet touches the headliner, too.

You might want to try this if you have your stock rails.

yea i posted my new seat install there also. i highly recommend it. u guys could could easily adapt the principle to sidemount.
id have the 2 metal flat bars still going across the sliders thus making a complete slider/bracket assembly. then put the sidemounts on the evo or pro2000 blah blah....lay that on the slider bracket assembly. put it where theres metal to go through strongly and safely. i dunno just an idea should be too hard. i have tons of headroom even with a helmet on. but then again my sprint is bottom mount. good luck.
also: if those sidemounts work on the pro2000 they SHOULD work on the evo2. all u gotta do is check the sparco usa measurements.

edit: bam looky there
evo 2 side fixing: 290MM
pro 2000 sidefixing: 290MM.
it will work buddy
Jared , who appreciates seating so much more as of yesterday.
