Im about ready to burn my chip, the atmel AT29C256 that i got from stupidfast.com but there is no option to choose that exact IC. there is one that is just 29C256 and this seems reasonable but there is an option to choose both the AT28C256 or the 28C256 which makes me worry about just going with the one without the AT prefix. anyone know? and also, i put the chip in the socket so that pin 1 of chip is in pin 3 of the socket(28pin chip in 32 pin socket), is that right or should it be pin 1 to pin 1?

 

well did some searching and the 29C256 will work in the IC selection, and placing pin 1 at pin3 is correct. so, now im going to try
