im on my stock clutch. i have 30k miles on the car. it seems like the pedal is loose but i check and its not. when i step on the clutch it would "click."
for example: just like the lid pencil would click when u press it. well thats how it sounds when i step on the clutch pedal. anyone kno wats goin wrong?

i also have this problem, if i step the clutch ALL the way down to the floor, and it has to be all the way engaged, i get a fast clicking noise, it doesn't stop until i let off.
all i can say is i think its common, i have it once in a while. it comes an goes, but i've seen many posts on this and no one ever know what it is, which makes me think that its nothing broken cause by now someone would have said, "oh guess what my clutch started clicking right before (*****) broke" know what i mean. people usually say that it could be your master cyl, but mines been doing it for 20k miles and nothings broken.

he's not hearing clicking from his shifter, he's hearing it from the clutch when he steps on it

Has anyone tried to check or bleed the clutch fluid?
How about this.... There are 2 switches on ur clutch pedal. 1 switch is for starting the car, the 2nd switch is for your cruise control. Maybe that's what making the noise... Anyone tried greasing the the hinges on the pedal? Just my $.02

to the person that said that it makes the sound when the pedal is all the way down but stops as soon as he lets off, go get your clutch adjusted it is prolly putting to much pressure on your throwout bearing whcih will cause premature failure, also mine makes a squeeking sound as it is pressed down i think it is something in the linkage. Not to scare people but the last time it started squeeking and having some of the symptoms listed above i ended up craking the stock disk and having one of the springs in the hub shoot of the disk.

I've always wondered what caused that sound. I get on my 2001 when i press the clutch all the way down.

I get the same thing with my 2001 LS, although it has not happened in a long time. It would come and go sometimes. This was only when I pressed the clutch petal all the way down. Seems to be normal.

Too much pressure? I dont think thats possible since its all a hydraulic system. If anything, it wont have enough pressure because it needs to be bled.
My clutch squeeks but thats because its a cheap Exedy clutch. I never got that with my stock clutch.
