Got mine painted for $500.00 door jam, under the hood and everything it's been a yr...and still looks kool....NOT the best but...it works for me.... i think it need waxing agains..then hopefully it shines..agains..haha...my 2 cents..

a place called PEACH painting and collision..more or less like MAACO..too....i think for a cheap paint job it depends where you go to and who will paint your car....but actually the paint is pretty good just depend who working on your car.....but for mines i did most of the prep work myself and take off the stuff that dont need to be painted hope that helps.........
I'm about to get mine done too and was wondering the same thing.. It is currently milano red but was thinking of doing a variation of red like some type of 'red pearl' or something and with that hopefully I can get away without doing the door jams and under the hood.
please post $'s paid for your paint jobs so I know what I'm looking at.. I'm going to a reputable shop too that I know a guy that paints there so it'll be a semi-hookup price.

My paintjob/bodywork is costing me a hefty chunk $1750............my 92 hatch Si is getting the rust cut out of the wheelwells(both sides), remove door moldings and fill in little holes(to look like a cx), remove about 5-6 small dents, paint windsheild wiper arms black front and back, replacing window moldings b/c there stripping. not to paint front grille or side skirts or rear stock spoiler, painting door jambs, hatch jambs and under the hood jambs, sanding down whole car and painting it over with Silverstone Metallic off of the 2001+ s2000's............its still in the shop now and should be done wednesday im just hoping it will turn out nice
Did you bring it to a maaco'ish type of place or a real shop?
The only work that I need them to do is bend the fender in a little so the fender to hood gap decreases a little bit since I rear-ended some one. Also need one of my headlight mounts bent back into shape so they can be mounted. I have a new front, side skirts, and rear bumper (front lip and rear lips too, yes OEM) that are currently painted dark purple. Can anyone guesstimate for me?

Here's mine:
Before the paint, running at the track with a CEL on!

After the paint, stock milano red:
Mines cost in the area of $700. It was at a place better then maaco, but not a real professional paint place. Overall, I'm happy, I didn't want an extremely good paint job, because its my main car. I commute to school with it, go to the job, work with my dad on it, and other things. Dings and scratches happen, and i didn't want to put alot of money into something that is in jeopardy of getting damaged all the time. It would just get me more pissed when it happened, and no big surprise, dings have happen to my car.

$600.00 for mine. Championship white, shaved emblems, shaved side mouldings, and fixed two big dents from an accident. This was done at Econo. It turned out pretty nice i thought (not perfect though)

You guys say your paint job is good, but not perfect. What do you mean by not perfect? I want to paint my car, but i want it perfect. I want it to look like it came from the factory.
