w00 h00, got some EM Racing tie bars
Seems like it's been awhile, but finally got some new mods for 234 from EM Racing
After seeing these on a local guy's teg, I couldn't resist. Super light aluminum C-pillar bar w/ quick release; QR will come in handy since one of the gripes I had about other bars were that it's not easily removable for safety of rear passengers.
Please excuse the chitty pix, as the lighting in my room sucks and i'm not about to set up better lighting at 1am

shi - who'll put up better pix after it's installed this weekend

Ha, was that marc's teg your talking about? His car is pretty dope
I have the trunk wall bar in my car and plan to get the c-pillar bar soon. That setup he has is pretty nutty!

yea, i saw a pic of that same bar on a link in a recent post, pretty simple yet effective design.
EDIT: i think it'd be nice to have something to cover teh mounting point for when the bar is off... u kno.. jus in case... cuz havin sumthing protruding out of the c pillar isn't any safer than having the bar goes across

I think it was just a couple weeks ago that everyone was hating the product. now that 234 bought it, everyone thinks its cool.

Yes. It tightened up the chassis a bit. Also, my car doesn't rattle/squeak that much anymore. The remaining "squeaking" is coming from the ES Master kit...but I'm going to be drilling and tapping some Zerk fittings into the LCA's. I went to a local Marine shop and picked up a tube of Boat Trailer Grease and a grease gun.

Not true in my case.
Also, all the ****-talkers/haters never even checked the product out. I can honestly vouch for this product. I haven't tested any of the other C-Pillar bars on the market, but the EM unit offered me the most differentiated features, namely the quick release feature...so I bought it. BTW, excellent customer service. I ordered it on a Sunday night and had it by Tuesday.

I am running some emracing bars on my car, and i did notice a pretty big difference, the handling was improved and like 2.0l turbo mentioned there was alot less rattling and noise coming from my interior. I have the trunk bar and the c-pillar right now. And with the quick release your back seat passengers heads will love you.

son of a.. now all i need is to swap c-pillars with a dc2 to make it work..
.. question about one of the bars, the only application for the late model civics is a trunk brace.. is that to brace the actual trunk lid?!?!?
