can i use a f22a starter for my h22a ??

probably not. thats a SOHC with a DOHC. the easiest way to do it... go to a kragen or pepboys and ask for parts numbers. if they match, then go for it.

part numbers for oem honda starters with MANUAL tranny:

F22A Starter: 31200-PT1-T04RM ($200.31)
H22A Starter: 31200-PT0-015RM ($183.29)
H23A Starter: 31200-PT0-015RM ($183.29)

so you see, h22 and h23 are the same. f22 is NOT the same.

HOWEVER, in my helms, under starter specs, it just lists 2 set of specs. other specs are broken into h22, h23, and f22. so i'm not 100% on that. but the h22 starter is cheaper to buy.

you can swap motors around the baseplate
