b16a teg. slow, needs toq bad!!!
alright i have a 91 integra gs with a b16a1 with y1 tranny with lsd.
i have an ebay cai, obx 2.5inch midpipe, then stock piping with a flowmaster muffler in place of the stock.
im using the stock b18a exhaust manifold. only because the b16a1 was 6inchs to short. im going to buy a header tomarow.
ok i ran a 16.4 @ 86mph with a 60ft time of 2.4
arn't my mph good for a mid to low 15? i ran a 15.8 when i had my turbo on and my vtec wasn;t working and i had stock exhaust and many problems with my setup including piping diameter. but the 15.8 was at 86mph. should i have atleast run a 16.0??? im launching at about 3500 and have no wheel hope or spin, any higher and i hope like crazy. also im shifting really fast and i the speedometer contunues to klimb durring shifts so i kno my driving isn;t to bad.
any sujestions? i need to add some torq so i figured the header would help alot with that.
let me know what u guys think and if anyone else has a b16a teg let me know what your times are. also as a referance their was a 98 civic coupe with a b16a2 running 16.8-17.0 but he didn;t have lsd. just as a compairison.

my 60 ft times are bad because
1 im running the stock 14inch aloys and im running copper cobra tires
these things don;t grip with crap.
also the b18a would have better 60ft times because of the higher lowend torq. im launching and the rpms drop enough that i can;t keep any torq.
i think if i had good rims and tires i could be running alot better times.
any other sujestions besides a header?

What altitude are you at? My friend ran a 16.3 in my old '92 GS-R at Bandimere (5800 ft above sea level) after I sold it. It had cheap ebay intake, jic-magic axleback, short throw shifter, and spoon 70mm tb. That's like a low 15 at sea level. I would think your car would be close to that considering you also have lsd.......
Your 60ft's are bad but that is not going to make up the fact your only trapping 86 mph. You also said you ran high 15's with the turbo? Something is either wrong with your driving or the power output of the motor. I hit a 15.0 my old 92 GSR with only a AEM intake with a 2.3 60ft and your setup is in a lighter car with more bolt on's.
could my suspention also be a big factor in why im running slow?
i have the stock shocks and springs and they feel pretty warn. could this be causing problems?

That wouldn't cause that kind of problems. Your car should be trapping around 90mph and run mid 15's. Either your engine is not healthy or something else is going wrong. Clogged cat? Automatic cams? I'd do a compression test and maybe even a dyno run if you can afford it.
should i try a run with an open header? also i bought a hedman header from summit racing today. i know their cheap and it prolly won;t do much but it was only 120 and its alot better than the stock b18a header.
also next time im going to be running with my air pressure alot less. i didn;t have a gauge with me so i didn;t let any air out that could also be a big factor.
