JDM Front-End conversion...Sheet metal or Fiberglass?
I'm getting the JDM Front-End..but knowing that I will be replacing the bumper w/ C West and Hood with Carbon Fiber and all I pretty much have left is the fender from the original kit..and I can get fiberglass conversion pretty darn cheap (about 1000 less then sheet metal ones). You guys think I should go w/ Sheet Metal still or Fiberglass?!? I mean I know how weak the fiberglass fenders are but if I can find a metal fender..i'll be fine w/ it...so what do ya think?
Jeff-
Jeff-
go OEM metal - i've heard too much about the fiberglass kits not fitting properly (forget about how weak they are compared to metal) Do a search!- I know some guys selling OEM metal could get just the parts you want (IE no hood, no bumber, etc)
i'm curious myself because i might be able to pick up a used fiberglass conversion for 1000 and want to replace the fenders
Alright......... you guys asked for it.
Here's a place that sells each piece of the JDM front end conversion separately. Be warned, though, it's a JDM company. Basically, this means that you can buy the parts rediculously cheap (compared to what they sell for here), but you are responsible for the shipping (from Japan!) and the associated import tariffs.
