What size inlet/outlet carsound cat should I get??
What's up guys. I am about to order a Carsound cat for my 92 Prelude Si. Currently, I am running my H23 with DC Sport CC header, K&N drop in air filter, and a Thermal Classic exhaust. After the addition of the cat....I am done modding the engine
If you don't know...I plan on using this car primarily for track use. I am going to keep my H23 as long as it lasts or until I find a very reasonably priced H22, whichever comes first. So, an h22 is in my future plans but I will not do any other engine mods to the H22 also.
With that said...which sized cat would provide me with the best back pressure to optimize performance out on the track (not the dragstrip....road course) for both the H23 and H22 engines??? If one is better for one engine than the other...let me know which one is best for the H22 since I will most definately be getting one later on down the road.
Thanks for your help.

As in "best back pressure" I assume you mean the least amount of back pressure? The DC header is 2" OD as are all their headers for B & H series engines. For these applications I use the 2-1/4" cat (p/n 93505). You have a Thermal exhaust which is 2-1/4" OD the cat has an outlet of 2-1/4" ID so you can do a little mod to your b pipe to ensure the IDs match.
