Default V-AFC

Where can I find a V-AFC for a good price? The lowest I have found is $300 shipping included. Anyone know of a better deal than this? Thanks

I just velcrod it in front of the shifter, some put it on the steering column. One person on this page put it where the clock used to be on the dash, looks sweet.

Is the V-AFC pretty easy to use? Or do you have to take it to a dyno to have it tuned correctly?

If you are going to spend $300 on a VAFC you should get it tuned, otherwise all it is is a digital fuel map.. I don't think it voids your warranty... I want one.. hehe

yes it voids the warranty since it piggybacks into ur ECU.
you have to cut wires to hook it up.
i would mount it somewhere convenient so it is easy to access when getting ur teg dyno'd and tuned.
just alot easier for the tuner

I have mine mounted from the roof of the car in between the visors.

Oh, and YES, it does void all woarranty on your car. A)for cutin ginto your ECU wiring harness, and B)for altering factory fuel/air specifications.

I assume the cabling is long enough to run it there? You had to run it around the windshield down the a pillar? thanks

yep. It is just barely long enough. I did run it through the pillar and behind the headliner.

the vafc doesn't come w/ a harness that plugs into the ECU? I have a fields Vtec/fuel controller...it's not tuned or anything, but do you think it's worth it for me to upgrade to the VAFC? I know you have more control over the fuel settings, but I should be able to get a decent amount out of the Fields, right?
