What tires to use with 16" Mugen MF8's
My question is what are you guys that have 16's using for tire size? 205/45/16?
Or something else? I just dont want the tires to look too low profile, do these look to thin/ricey on our cars?
Thank you in advance for the help!

I have to concur with that statement. I only recently purchased a set of the Azenis in the 215/45R16 after burning out my Yokohamas (Azenis were not out when I purchased the Yokohamas) and reading of the "another satisfied user" stories of the Falkens.
That size tire is poifect for an ITR running 16" rims (speedo difference is negligible) and they work good. Real good. The only tire that I have found stickier are the R compound tires at a 20% cost increase... I mean, these things kick up gravel into the wheel wells...yeah--that sticky.
Only thing sketch about them is wet weather...short of spraying down your tires with silicone spray before heading out, nothing is slipperier.
Another low budget consideration would be something from Kumho also...

S03's own rain.

Cause those tires ARE... My worn through Yokohamas had more grip in the rain than the Azenis...
Granted Snow and Ice are slipperier than rain... Maybe it has to do something with the tire tread pattern that "retains" water underneath the tire so that the shoulders can have big thick blocks for mo' better grip in the dry.

just like BlueR, i have 215/45/16 azenis on te-37's
most of my experience with the azenis were on the track. they're great tires!
speaking of rain, i felt REALLY uneasy in the rain with the oem re010's!
overall, it's been tried and true by all the itr veterans; azenis are a great buy!

What kind of suspension setups are you all running with the 215/45/16s. I know that the Azenis are wide when compared to most. Are your cars lowered or riding stock suspension height?

As long as there isnt any standing water and drive sensibly, they are fine.
DC beltway is another story.

I'd say Azenis own in the rain.
Now, standing water, not so nice. But then again, what tire is good in standing water?

LOL, I know all about that....
Azenis don't deal well with sleet, ice, snow or 32 degrees F or below. In fact, they stop dealing completely.

Honestly standing water isn't even a huge issue. Driving sensibvly coudl be. I drove a flodded interestate at 60-65mph Saturday with no issues. ES100's with more tread had just as much feedback from the water as my car if not more.
Never driven the Beltway though
