I was wondering on average how much does the engine swap cost for the H22 in a 97 LX?

 

Is there anything i can get in the mean time before i get the new engine. That can improve hp.

 

H22 usually goes for about $ 2300.(for complete swap) Shipping is 200-350 depending on where you live. And for your second post, do a search there are alot of topics about it. Welcome to Honda Tech.

Don't get anything that you can't use after the swap, otherwise you're just throwing away your money.

 

If you get a complete swap, you dont really need to buy anything to swap it into the accord except for all your liquids. You use the accord axles, accord motor mounts except the drivers side which you have to modify to fit, use the accord shift linkage, accord intermediate shaft.....think thats about it. You will have a lot extra from the swap that you can sell. Let me know if you need any help.

 

My engine swap just cost me 3200 installed, with the JDM 94 prelude h22a motor, tranny and ecu.
