brake question *Quick*
sorry this might be a dumb question but im upgrading my brakes..and im about to order them. but instead of getting the replacement civic rotors can i get integra ones? (because they are bigger.) now my question is ...will this work if i just buy integra rotors. thank you for your help and sorry if its a dumb question
stock. i was talking to a guy on here and was going to get the brembo crossdrilled and sloted replacement rotors. (same size as stock) but i wanted a bigger effect but dont wanna pay mad money for a True big brake setup
From what I know, you can only use the rotor for your specific setup. For example, if you have stock Civic, then you have to use a rotor that's specifically for your model. Now if you were like me, and had Teg front brakes in your CRX, then yes, you could get the Teg rotors.
I hope I made sense.

I just installed brembo rotors that I bought of ebay. New performance pads as well. You can't go wrong there, for the money the difference is great. It does make a lot of noise right now, I'll wait for the pads to wear off a bit.
What Pacman meant to say was that since the rotor is a larger diameter, the caliper won't be able to go in close enough to the hub for you to get the caliper mounting bolts in.
I once had my caliper mounting brackets modified so the mounting ears were a bit longer, and was then able to use the Integra rotors on my Civic caliper/knuckle equipped car.
