h22 from a 94 prelude
I was wondering what the difference is between the 94 h22 and a newer one. I know 96+ have OBD2. I am putting it in a 97 accord. The other question I have is will my stock motor mounts work or do I have to find new ones.
I believe you use the prelude driver's side mount and the rest from the Accord. As far as the 94 Prelude stuff, it's OBD1 which is easier to tune. Your car is already OBD2 so I'm not sure if it would be easier to stick with OBD2 or convert to OBD1.
so which one would be easier to work with. I am haveing my friends make a cutom turbo for it. Which would be better to work with. His is my first h22 so I don't know a whole lot about it.
Go with the 4th gen prelude H22A (92-96). They are closed deck which is a little stronger for boost. I would convert it to OBD1 also so it is simpler to work with/tune. I believe Kteller8 sells OBD2-1 conversion harnesses.

yes if you can stick with a fourth gen lude motor
you use your mounts but the driver side of the lude
besides that your good to go.. if your five speed order a harness.. you can get them from 125-200 easy

Also, 1992-1996 H22a runs on peak and hold injectors with a resistor box while 1997-01 runs on saturated injectors...
If u convert an engine OBd2-to OBD1 or OBD-1 to OBD-2, you might need to change them..
