i noticed that a pipe in the fornt of my car was cut and crimped shut...i thought it was the piping for the A/C which would explain why my A/C doesnt blow cold but i checked on acuraautomotiveparts.org and found out it was #29 which is listed as the P.S. cooler!?!? is it bad to not have this pipe connected!?!? and could i replace it with rubber hosing like the ones for radiators but much thinner!?!?

and what are the side effects of not having this connected!?!? i dont know how this could have happend but i was involved in an accident and my car is salvaged so i dont know how long its been like this...

 

oops i just noticed it was POWER STEERING cooler! i accidently looked at the wrong window! sorry!

So you must have a looped hose (like #14) otherwise your power steering wouldn't be working...

All you gotta do is buy the part & put it in. If you want to make something yourself you'd be better to use metal tube instead of rubber hose. That way it can actually act like a cooler. Without a cooler, your PS fluid just gets hotter. Maybe then it won't last as long?

 

hmm i have # 14 just #29 is cut and crimped right where it mounts...i guess im gonna have to make my own b/c its $115+ for that POS! lol yah i know im a cheapo!

 

The ls's dont have the power steering cooler. Its not needed.
